Child Development Centers
The Department of Energy (Headquarters) offers quality child care services for children from three months to five years old. The Sheila D. Watkins Energy Child Development Centers at the Forrestal Building and Germantown facility are fully licensed and are NAEYC accredited.

Both centers operate between 7:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. For more information, call (202)586-6800 or (301)903-8600.

The Agency supports the Tuition Assistance Program managed by the Energy Child Development Center, Inc. Each year, the agency donates monies collected from the Recycling Program to assist lower income DOE families with the expense of child care at out Centers. For more information on tuition assistance, contact one of the Centers.
