EAP Staff Bios
The professional counseling staff has Masters degrees and expertise in the field of employee assistance and substance abuse. Staff members participate in continuing education and are guided by the codes of professional conduct and standards of The Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Evelyn M. Joy, LICSW, BCD, CCDC, CEAP, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and EAP Professional, and Director of the HQ Employee Assistance Program. She received her Masters degree in Social Work in 1980 and has worked in the field of employee assistance and addictions ever since. Evelyn has special expertise in organizational change, parenting, and alcohol and drug concerns. She has worked in the DOE Employee Assistance Program since 1997; prior to this, she worked in the EAPs of Naval Surface Warfare Center, N.I.H, and H.U.D.

Cheryl D. Reese, LPC, AS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor, with more than 20 years of experience in the counseling arena. Her specialty is trauma resolution, and she has worked extensively with individuals recovering from traumatic events. With a background in substance abuse and addictive disorders, Cheryl has worked with both the military and Veterans Administration family members. Cheryl is a Vietnam-era retired Marine and comes to our staff from Department of Homeland Security.
