Retirement/Separation from DOE
As a Federal employee leaving the Agency, there is important information that you need to have prior to departing. Regardless of your destination -- be it educational pursuits, retirement, employment outside the Federal service, or a position with another Federal agency -- there are important details to bear in mind. First, you need to be fully aware of the implications and entitlements relating to your pay and benefits. Second, you must complete the Separation Clearance Process. Lastly, we encourage you to share your thoughts and feelings about employment with DOE and your reason(s) for leaving in the Exit Interview. This information can help us in making DOE a better place to work.

The EWLC provides retirement preparation support for DOE employees. Our specialists will prepare an annuity estimate upon request and assist with completion of retirement application paperwork.
